Modalities Offered

Dynamic Cupping - Dynamic cupping typically refers to a technique used in therapeutic massage where cups (often silicone or plastic) are applied to the skin and then moved around the body rather than being left in a static position. This movement can involve techniques such as gliding, lifting, and twisting the cups while they are in contact with the skin. The goal is to create a massage-like effect that can help improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote healing of injured tissues. Dynamic cupping is sometimes preferred over static cupping for its ability to target specific areas more precisely and to provide a more varied therapeutic effect. Gua Sha - Gua Sha is a traditional eastern medicine technique that involves scraping the skin with a tool to improve circulation. The term "Gua Sha" translates to "scraping sha-bruises" in Chinese, where "sha" refers to the redness or petechiae (tiny red dots) that appear on the skin as a result of the scraping.

During a Gua Sha session, the skin is lubricated with oil, and then the practitioner scrapes the skin using short or long strokes with the tool. This scraping action is believed to release muscle tension, promote circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids, and stimulate the body's natural healing response. Gua Sha is often used to relieve muscle and joint pain, reduce inflammation, and improve overall health.

Hot Stone Therapy - Hot stone therapy, is a therapeutic technique that involves the use of smooth, heated stones used by the therapist to perform massage strokes. The stones are typically made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat well.

During a hot stone therapy session, the therapist will use the hot stones to perform massage strokes. This can involve gentle gliding movements over the skin with the stones, or they may incorporate them into more specific techniques to target areas of tension or pain. The heat from the stones helps to relax muscles and tissues, allowing the massage therapist to apply deeper pressure if desired without causing discomfort.

Hot stone therapy is typically used to promote relaxation, alleviate muscle tension, and improve circulation. It can also help reduce stress and anxiety levels. The combination of heat and massage can create a deeply soothing and therapeutic experience for the recipient.
